He added that Sheikh Zayed’s unstinting encouragement and support for agriculture was elucidated in his famous saying: "Grant me agriculture … and I shall guarantee civilization for you”.

Prof. Dr. bin Fahd further stated that the initiative enhances cooperation and partnership between the Zayed Foundation and Dubai Women Establishment and commended the entity for its commitment to environmental and sustainability issues, which are also reflected in the beautiful green spaces and native rare trees planted in the garden of its subsidiary, the Dubai Ladies Club.

She commended the efforts made by the Zayed Foundation to consolidate this wise approach, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

HE Shamsa Saleh added: "Under the directions of HH Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wife of HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, and President of the Emirates Council for Gender Balance and President of DWE, the Dubai Ladies Club has launched various community initiatives in the fields of health, education and the environment. The new initiative reinforces its commitment to environmental protection and preservation through afforestation, expansion of green spaces and activities to replenish the beachfront with the aim of boosting environmental awareness among the club’s female employees and members, and the wider community.”
